Executive General Manager

Location: Vancouver, Denver, Toronto, Sudbury

The Executive General Manager is a key leadership role responsible for delivering consistent, long-term revenue and profit growth in the territory. This role requires a dynamic, results-driven professional with proven experience in managing technical and sales teams.

Responsibilities of the role include the following:

• Develop and implement a business plan for the region
• Lead the software sales function and personally engage with customers on larger transactions
• Ensure quality implementation and support services are provided in order to minimize customer attrition
• Ensure back-office administrative processes are completed accurately and meet corporate deadlines
• Collaborate with global product VP’s to influence product road maps based on regional requirements and competitive intelligence
• Collaborate with peers on global mining accounts and the sharing of resources
• Recruit and retain a high-quality team of technical professionals to deliver support, implementation and training services
• Foster a culture that reflects the Datamine values of autonomy, accountability, collaboration, friendship and respect
• Monitor team and individual performance, providing career development, coaching and interventions when necessary
• Adoption and sharing of Datamine and Vela best practices

Requirements:

You will have a proven track record of delivering results in a professional and dynamic environment, including demonstrated success managing a P&L.  You will have a deep understanding of the mining industry, the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex, strategic sales processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical and/or business discipline
• Prior experience leading technical and/or sales teams
• Software sales experience
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding business targets
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to travel as needed
