MineMapper 3D Version 7.1 Release
Datamine is pleased to announce the release of MineMapper 3D version 7.1. MineMapper 3D is integrated with the Fusion geological database system and is used by mine geologists to map geology and manage sample collections at the face.
The latest version of MineMapper 3D is almost unrecognisable from previous versions. The user experience has been completely redesigned to work with stylus and gesture control on tablet computers. New stope, floor and roof geo-location methods to accurately position the map data have been added to suit individual customers’ surveying practices.
There are many other improvements, such as independent viewing and data editing modes, simplified data selection with a handy click-cycling option, 3D map performance improvements and full integration with Fusion’s Report Manager for automatically generating reports using operation-specific templates. Data input has been enhanced, providing a robust and flexible connection to your database and CAD data sources, with precise control over layer import.
MineMapper 3D version 7.1 is fully compatible with Fusion 9 and its associated applications. As part of the latest Fusion Service Pack, it is simple for both new and existing users to install. Watch the video below for a quick overview of MineMapper Version 7.0 features.
The Datamine team in Africa has been particularly busy with MineMapper 3D projects in 2019. MineMapper 3D is being implemented by Zimplats on ruggedized toughpads that are reported to be working extremely well with the new tablet enabled controls. The Zimplats team is using some of the customisable calculation features to conduct geotechnical assessments – a great testament to how configurable the system is to support operational requirements.
With other implementations due to start in Africa in early 2020 we are planning for the software to continue to improve.
For customers who would prefer a mine mapping solution that is not so tightly integrated with Fusion, Datamine is taking ideas from the latest MineMapper 3D and implementing them in Studio Mapper, a tablet focused mapping product to be released later in 2020.
