Following the sneak peeks of Studio UG during our Australian and European Conferences, this December Caroline Corte and Henrique Silva conducted a free training session in Perth where we had a number of interested clients attend a ‘hands-on’ run-through. Our trainees were taken through each step of the Studio UG planning process, experiencing new features and becoming familiar with the brand new Studio UG product.
For this training a completely new dataset was provided for a benching scenario, one of the most common mining methods used in Australia. This is the first step towards providing our users completed best-practice Studio UG templates for different mining methods. By using templates, engineers can rapidly establish a new project that already includes fully configured setup such as automatic sequence rules, derived activity formulae and more. Templates can be modified to suit local site requirements in a fraction of the time it takes to create a new project from scratch.
This is definitely a milestone for the Studio UG team and is a well-timed engagement with end users ahead of the Studio UG rollout to customer sites in 2019.
