It’s been a thrilling year with all our regions celebrating 40 years of Datamine!
We value the collaboration and partnerships formed over these last few decades, as we work to provide innovative solutions and excellent service for you. Thank you so much for walking this journey together, we wouldn’t be where are today without your continued support along side us on it.
Our trusted employees are also what makes us so successful! Let’s see how some of them celebrated this momentous occasion in their region:
Peru Football Tournament
Our office in Peru organized a Football 6 sports tournament as part of the Datamine Day 2021 event in October. Collaborators from the partner companies such as Volcan Compañía Minera, Minera Lincuna, SMP Peru participated in this tournament. as well as students from the best universities of Mining Engineering and Geological Engineering of Peru.
With a total of 16 teams and more than 128 participants; students, collaborators, and Datamine colleagues faced each other to be champions. After a great day full of electrifying matches, the PUCP – Huascaminas team became champions by defeating the UPC – Dream Team by a slight margin.
Brisbane Cycling Challenge
Team members from the Brisbane office including Dylan Webb, John Bailey, Esa Immonen, Matt Cowman, Polly Glasson and Ken Wang participated in the B2GC Cycling Challenge on Sunday 17 October, where they cycled 100km from Brisbane to the Gold Coast with 40th Anniversary branded jerseys! The team started riding at the University of Queensland’s Saint Lucia Campus, all the way to Mitchell Park in Gold Coast (with quite a few breaks in between of course). The team celebrated their huge accomplishment with a few huge beers after.
South Africa Celebration
Datamine Africa saw it fit to “CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES” with a themed celebration representing each of the 4 decades at our Johannesburg Office in October! This event was particularly special as it gave us an opportunity to get together after working from home for quite some time and engage with old and new staff in person. Aside from small talk over great food and delicious cocktails it was exciting for everyone to partake in some team building exercises – including a Datamine general knowledge quiz – and have the chance to win some prizes.
The Brisbane office recently came together for a long overdue catchup with darts to welcome our newer starters and also to celebrate Datamine’s 40th Anniversary!
The Perth Office came together last month to catchup with some bowling hosted by Snowden!
