Meet Reshoketswe Tati known as Shoki, Datamine Africa Underground Planning Business Lead and gym fanatic!

Reshoketswe is a Mining Engineer with a heart of gold and contagious smile. She has been part of the Datamine Africa family for 8 years.

Get to know Shoki a little better through the interview below:

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I joined Datamine in 2014 as an intern and now I am the team lead for the Underground (UG) team.

In my free time I am a Gym fanatic- typically start my day with a gym session, love travelling, hiking, reading and I really enjoy a glass of white wine!

What is it like to work at Datamine?

Working at Datamine is really amazing! So much to learn and so many opportunities. A dynamic environment that keeps me on my toes. A great team to work with!

What inspired your career in this industry?

I really enjoy working with technology and being part of its development.

What are some of the challenges you help your clients navigate during consulting sessions?

To make their work easier, quicker and efficient as much as possible!

What is the most satisfying aspect of your role / the work you do?

Meeting (now virtually) different people from the continent and the opportunity to learn from them.

What are your best memories from your career?

The adventures from the African continent – The opportunity to travel to the different countries in our beautiful continent

Whatโ€™s a fun fact about you?

I own a Legends barbershop (not your average barbershop!)
