Datamine is so excited to share the news about our partnership with Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), a university with a focus on research, innovation and human development based in Benguerir, Morocco.  

In October 2022, our Datamine Africa team consisting of Eben Assan (North & West Africa Lead), Freddy Kapako (Central & North Africa Lead), Hajar Rahabat (Mining Engineer), Megan Scheepers (Marketing Manager) were honoured to be hosted by key UM6P representative, Abdellatif EL GHALI (Professor) at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Benguerir, Morocco.  It was at this meeting where a partnership was founded when Mostafa BENZAAZOUA (Professor) alongside Freddy authorised the contract which marked the foundation of the valuable partnership between Datamine Africa and UM6P. Through this partnership, Datamine Africa will have the unique opportunity to provide software and training to researchers & PhD students of UM6P.

This exclusive partnership between Datamine Africa and UM6P is a significant step in providing UM6P students with the chance to refine and grow their knowledge in Geology & Mine Planning. Datamine takes pride in providing the necessary skills and knowledge to upcoming industry professionals to ensure they are well equipped for their future endeavours. This newly formed relationship between Datamine and UM6P has an even greater ripple effect for the Moroccan mining industry as, there will be an increase of young professionals with the know-how to solve various mining challenges through our software solutions. 

We look forward to strengthening our relationship with UM6P and gaining a broader reach for our offerings.
